I’ve been fascinated with American politics my entire life. When I was just seven, my parents found me in front of our suburban New Jersey house, stopping passerbys to ask if they were for Nixon or Kennedy, marking down little K’s and N’s in a pad. Since that auspicious start, I’ve been lucky enough to pursue this fascination as a door to door volunteer, in political science grad school, as a campaign pollster and teacher in New Orleans, and finally as a documentary filmmaker. This site has access to all the films over forty years. The Sundance award winning GEORGE WALLACE: SETTIN’ THE WOODS ON FIRE. A four-hour national special, VOTE FOR ME: POLITICS IN AMERICA. Three films that aired on PBS’s POV series and many more. Plus links to writing about politics, history and culture, lots of photos, and my time at the University of Texas. Enjoy!
